1930’s working decoy from Ontario. This decoy was found in the Owen Sound/Durham region of Ontario. It has black tacks for its eyes, a hinged lead weight with hook on the bottom, and original paint on the body. Unknown carver. Circa 1930’s.
Length from beak to tail: 15″ (38 cm)
Height from base to top of head: 7 ” (17.8 cm)
No signs of major repairs. There are nicks and worn areas commensurate with age and use. Please refer to the photos for details.
