19th century James Yates half pint pewter tankard. This half pint measure tankard has a cylindrical shape, with moulded girdles (bands) and a handle called an “Attention Terminal”. It is stamped with the maker’s mark, “JAMES YATES 1/2 PINT” next to the handle, together with Victorian and other weights and measures inspectors’ stamps. Made by James Yates (1837-1881) in Birmington, England.

19th century James Yates half pint pewter tankard. This half pint measure tankard has a cylindrical shape, with moulded girdles (bands) and a handle called an “Attention Terminal”. It is stamped with the maker’s mark, “JAMES YATES 1/2 PINT” next to the handle, together with Victorian and other weights and measures inspectors’ stamps. Made by James Yates (1837-1881) in Birmington, England.

Condition
Very good condition. Nice patina. No dents or holes. A few marks and scratches commensurate with age.
