This antique brown salt-glazed pitcher with white fern decoration was made in England during the mid-19th century. It features seven white ferns on a cone shaped pitcher forming a delicate relief pattern around the perimeter. The handle is applied with a moulded rope motif. It is unmarked but is numbered 969 on the bottom. It came from the collection of Senator Roderick Matheson, Perth Ontario and is in immaculate condition.
