Antique Gaudy ironstone jug with serpent handle. A vivid pitcher/jug in great condition. Transfer-printed and enameled on a white background with a polychrome, Asian-inspired floral design, and with a serpent handle. Dates to the 2nd quarter of the 19th century. Has the distinctive Gaudy Welsh pattern colours of russet, cobalt blue and green. The jug has an eight-sided square shape and has an impressed “Ironstone China” mark on the base. English.
