Antique hand-blown cranberry glass milk jug or pitcher with clear applied handle. Circa 1890-1900. This Victorian ribbed jug has a tankard shape to it, with 12 ribs and an unpolished pontil on the base.
It stands 5½ inches (14 cm) tall and has a diameter of 3½ inches (9 cm) at the base.
There are a few minor anomalies in the glass that were part of the hand-production process and are to be expected in a Victorian era item. Otherwise the jug is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and is a beautiful cranberry piece.
