Antique New Hall China coffee can in the “Boy in a Window” pattern. An Asian inspired coffee cup (demitasse) manufactured by New Hall China in bright, polychrome colours on a white background. The pattern shows a boy looking through a window at an outdoor scene of three figures in a lush garden setting. New Hall China was manufactured by a group of six Staffordshire potters. They produced a wide variety of tea services in primarily hard paste porcelain from 1781-1810. Decoration for this piece was entirely by hand. The handle and the interior rim of the cup were also hand painted. Unmarked. Circa 1800. England.
