A Portneuf teapot, also known as stick spongeware.
This teapot is from the late 1800’s and is sponge decorated with small rosettes and fern like sprigs. The sides have a moulded form on them. A unique and great addition to a “Portneuf” or spongeware collection.
Height: 7.5″ (19 cm)
Width from spout to handle: 9″ (22.9 cm)
It is in good condition with no chips or cracks – amazing considering these would have been in daily use. Minor discolouration in the interior base.
