Antique Salvation Army tôle tray. A repainted tôle tray. This is an 1880’s small tôle tray that was repainted, likely about 1900. The banner at the bottom says “The Salvation Army”. The circle in the center has the words “BLOOD AND FIRE” surrounding a cross and stylized “S”. All topped by a crown. An interesting piece of history and a naïve folk art presentation.
9” by 12” (23 x 30.5 cm)
The tray has been well used and has some wear – hence it’s conversion to a Salvation Army piece.
