Antique sterling salt and pepper shakers. Circa 1910. This pair of weighted silver shakers by the Hamilton Silver Manufacturing Company (New York) is stamped with the words “Hamilton Sterling Weighted” in block letters. (The Hamilton company was absorbed by T.N. Benedict Manufacturing Company in 1912.) These shakers would add a lovely, traditional air to your table.
The shakers are 4¾ inches (12 cm) tall to the tip of the finial and 1¾ inches (4.5 cm) wide.
There are signs of use – dimples and small dings but the lids still unscrew and the set remains in relatively good used condition.
