John Player double table lamp in red. This reproduction tin lamp was made by John Player in Bath, Ontario during the 70’s. In his book, The Origins and Craft of Antique Tin & Tôle (published by Norwood Publishing in 1995), Player describes the lamp design shown here as : “Jane”, a typical “French” lamp reproduction”. The design was inspired by an “incidental feature of a picture in a history book. The shade conceals normal light bulbs for reading and the candles alone can be used for a relaxed atmosphere. Both may be alight together, still giving the illusion that candles are the sole source of illumination.” Wired. Shipping not available. Local pick up or delivery.
