John Player Single Table Lamp in Red

$245

John Player single table lamp in red. This reproduction tin lamp was made by John Player in Bath, Ontario during the 70’s. In his book, The Origins and Craft of Antique Tin & Tôle (published by Norwood Publishing in 1995), Player describes the lamp design shown here as: “John”, which is not an exact copy. Rather it is what a small town tinsmith may have made after seeing a lamp in a magazine from the “big city”. The shade conceals a normal light bulb for reading and the candle alone can be used for a relaxed atmosphere. Both may be alight together, still giving the illusion that the candle is the sole source of illumination.” Wired. Shipping not available. Local pick up or delivery.

We also have other reproduction lamps available. See below. Please contact us for more information at: info@rogueshollowantiques.com
