This Liberty Blue Staffordshire ironstone platter is derived from an original copper engraving of historic colonial scenes of the Governor’s House in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Benjamin Franklin Federal Savings and Loan commissioned Liberty Blue in 1975 to mark its 50th Anniversary. It was made by Enoch Wedgwood & Co. in Staffordshire, England and is marked, ” LIBERTY BLUE, Original Copper Engravings of Historic Colonial Scenes Printed on Staffordshire Ironstone, Detergent and Dishwasher Safe, Made in England, Governor’s House, Williamsburg. The platter is in pristine condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
