Six antique sterling-handled steak knives. Circa 1900. This boxed set of steak knives was made in Sheffield, England, for the Haddon Hall label of the Eaton’s department store (Canada). The hollow handles are stamped on one side with the word “Sterling” in box letters. The blades are engraved with the words: Blade, Stainless Steel, and Made in Sheffield England.
Each knife is 9 inches (23 cm) long.
The serrated blades remain sharp and the presentation box is in good condition, with working findings. The handles show signs of use (minor dings) but remain shiny and unstained.
