Vintage clear rhinestone Sherman necklace. Gustave Sherman manufactured beautiful rhinestone jewelry from 1947 to 1981 in Montreal, Canada. He used Swarovski crystals, superior findings and rhodium plating over silver or gold-tone settings. This very unusual necklace is an Art Deco design from the late 1940’s. All the rhinestones are prong-set in a silver-tone setting. The crystals are still amazingly clear and sparkly. Sherman jewelry was expensive when it was new and was sold by high-end jewelers across Canada. This would be a lovely piece to be worn at a wedding, prom or other gala event.
