Vintage Corocraft brooch and matching earrings (England). From the 1930’s. This older set is shaped in the form of a large gold-tone blossom with numerous small rhinestones highlighting the flower centre and one side of each petal. The clip earrings look like one of the flower petals, with rhinestones highlighting both sides of the petal, and the petal is suspended from a rhinestone-encrusted ball that represents the flower centre. All three pieces are stamped with the Corocraft hallmark. Corocraft, opened in 1933, was the British branch of Coro, the American jewellery company. Corocraft lines were considered to be better designs and were sold in higher end stores.
The large brooch has a 2 and 3/8 inch (6.5 cm) diameter. The clip earrings are 1 and 5/8 inches (4.3 cm) long and 5/8 inch (1.8 cm) wide.
This set has been very gently used and is in excellent condition.
